1. Principle
This test card uses colloidal gold immunochromatography technology to detect antibodies against classic or highly pathogenic Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) Virus in samples of porcine serum, plasma and whole blood qualitatively, which can be used as immune monitoring and auxiliary detection for PRRS vaccines.
If there is PRRS antibody in the sample, it will bind to the colloidal gold labeled PRRS antigen and move along the chromatography membrane together. The Colloidal gold-antigen-antibody conjugates combine the antigen coated on T-line zone and show red color. If there is no PRRS antibody, then no color.

4. Sample requirement
1) This test card is only used to testing swine serum/plasma/whole blood.
2) To get the best test result, better to use fresh, unpolluted samples. If the sample contains a large amount of blood lipids, it should be processed and the supernatant should be taken for testing.
3) The serum sample can store at 4℃ for short term (in 3 days), if for long term, it should be kept at -20℃.
4) The plasma sample: if using container including anticoagulant EDTA, it may interfere the result. Even EDTA at lower concentration, it can interfere result, so avoid using EDTA.
5) The whole blood sample: whole blood samples without anticoagulants should be tested before coagulation; If already had partial coagulation, please separate serum for testing. Please run testing in 24 hours for whole blood already adding anticoagulants, no frozen; freezing and thawing can cause red blood cells to rupture and hemolysis, seriously affecting the testing effect. When blood or serum is abnormally viscous or insufficient, physiological saline can be diluted appropriately for detection, and the final potency of the specimen should be multiplied by the dilution factor.

Storage: Store at 2-30 ℃ in dark, sealed, dry place, no frozen.
Expiry date: 18 months; date of production is on box.
