1. Introduction
The Canine Babesia Antibody Test Card (colloidal gold method) uses rapid immunochromatography technology to detect Babesia antibodies in canine serum, plasma or whole blood qualitatively. After adding sample, if Babesia antibodies are present, then they bind to the colloidal gold-labelled Babesia antigen, forming an antigen-antibody complex that moves along the chromatographic membrane, and then binds to the antigen on the detection line, showing a burgundy color; If Babesia antibody is not present in the sample, then no color reaction.

3. Test procedure
1) Collect whole blood, separate serum or plasma (centrifuge at 2000-3000 r/min for 5~15min or separate out naturally at 4℃ overnight), or take whole blood with anticoagulants as sample. Take whole blood without anticoagulants as sample is also OK, but must test it immediately.
2) Open the package, take out test card, put it on clean, flat desk.
3) Use the dropper to add 10ul sample (sample quantity at the black line position of dropper) into “S” well on test card.
4) Then add 2 drops of Dilution Buffer (do not over adding) into “S” well on test card, there will be wine-red color liquid pass by the observation window, if no liquid movement, press gently on the zone between “S” well and “observation window” to help liquid release.
5) Put it at room temperature for 5-10min, then read the result, the result is invalid after 10min.
4. Results judgment
1) Positive: control line and test line are both seen red color;
2) Negative: only control line is seen wine red;
3) Invalidation: control line isn’t seen wine red.
